Production Method
It is mainly obtained by the addition reaction of acrolein and methanethiol. Acrolein and formic acid are added to the reaction kettle, and cupric acetate is added with stirring. The mixture is heated to 30 - 40ºC, and methanethiol, which has been cooled, acid - washed, and dehydrated, is introduced until the relative density of the reaction liquid reaches 1.060 - 1.074 (20ºC), and then 3 - (methylthio) propionaldehyde is obtained.
Packaging and Storage
Packaging: It is usually packed in sealed barrels. Common packaging specifications are 25kg/barrel.
Storage: It should be stored in a cool and ventilated warehouse, away from fire sources and heat sources. The warehouse temperature should not exceed 30ºC, and the container should be kept sealed. It should be stored separately from oxidants, reducing agents, alkalis, etc., and mixed storage should be avoided.
