Ophthalmic Examination:
After instillation into the eye, it binds to mucin at corneal injury sites and fluoresces under cobalt blue light, used to diagnose corneal ulcers, abrasions, or tear film abnormalities (e.g., dry eye syndrome).
Example: Schirmer test (tear secretion measurement) by observing tear flow.
Angiography:
Intravenous injection allows visualization of blood vessel permeability via fluorescence microscopy (e.g., fundus angiography) to diagnose diabetic retinopathy, macular degeneration, etc.
Other Uses:

Irritation: Concentrated solutions may irritate skin or eyes; rinse immediately with plenty of water.
Contraindications and Precautions:
